Most of the game will be spent waiting for crops to mature and be harvested once harvested, you either sell the harvested crops immediately or wait for market prices to improve (risking further drops and the inevitable crop spoilage). In many ways, SimFarm foreshadows today's idle games. SimFarm has plenty of buttons and levels and a high degree of nuance, but instead of actively building your farm, you'll spend much of your time planning field planting schedules, choosing which crops to grow, and when to sell crops. While SimCity favors active (but simple) gameplay, zoning and building roads until you run out of money, SimFarm requires a patient approach. SimFarm simulates the management of a small farm (which can grow into a large farm) and plays very differently from its 'cousin' SimCity. SimFarm was advertised as 'SimCity's cousin in the countryside', and yet that doesn't live up to expectations.
